Privacy

This website collects very little, and nothing at all until you accept. This page says what, who receives it, and how to ask us about it.

What this site collects

If you use the contact form

The name, email address and message you type. They are sent to us by email so we can reply — there is no database and no CRM behind the form. Delivery is handled by Resend, an email provider acting on our behalf.

Resend processes this in its EU region — Ireland (eu-west-1), so the contents of the form do not leave the EU.

We keep enquiries for 24 months.

If you accept analytics

Only then. We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful — the page address, the page that referred you, and general technical information such as country, browser and device type. We do not run advertising and do not build profiles; the advertising signals are switched off permanently and the consent banner cannot turn them on.

If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no cookies are set and no identifier is stored. Details of the two cookies involved are on the cookies page.

What happens with no choice from you at all

Our web host records the usual server information for every request — IP address, time, page requested, browser — as any web server does. The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting; the contact form runs as a function in Google Cloud's europe-west1 region, in Belgium.

What this site deliberately does not do

Worth stating, because "we respect your privacy" is said by everyone:

Who else receives data

That is the complete list. Google is a US company; where analytics data is concerned, accepting the banner is what permits that transfer, and declining prevents it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Under Swiss and EU data-protection law these rights exist regardless of where you live, and we do not charge for them.

For analytics specifically, the quickest route is the cookie settings link in the footer: declining deletes the cookies immediately and stops further collection.

Changes

If what we collect changes, the consent banner asks again rather than relying on a decision you made about something else.
